The MT-CET 2014, an online common entrance test for admissions to the four-year full-time degree course in pharmacy at the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)-approved colleges in the state of Maharashtra, will be held on April 20, 2014.


The Director of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra issued a notification to this effect recently.  A detailed notification regarding availability of information brochure, schedule for filling up of online CET applications, eligibility criteria etc. will be available in this site. The student intake and number of colleges are likely to change for 2014-15 after the AICTE’s process for sanction of new colleges and revision of student intake at existing colleges.


The MT-CET is now confined to only the pharmacy degree course admissions in the state. Also, the test will be conducted through an online mode for the first time unlike the conventional pen and paper mode till last year. The government will be conducting a separate entrance test, called the MH-CET, for admission to medical, dental, ayurveda, homeopathy, unani and allied health science courses in the state.


 


Till last year, pharmacy seats were being filled by way of a common admission process (CAP) based on the state merit list drawn from the MT-CET which was then a common entrance exam for engineering as well as pharmacy courses. However, the state government decided to join the HRD ministry’s single national entrance test scheme, called the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE), from academic year 2014-15 for engineering admissions.

* If a candidate does not receive or lose admit card, the Centre Superintendent may issue him / her a duplicate admit card on receiving Rs.50/- (Rupees Fifty only) with an application written by the candidate and two attested recent passport size photographs of the candidate identical with the photograph pasted on the original application. Two numbers of the duplicate admit cards will be prepared by the Centre Superintendent; one of them will be issued to the candidate and the other is to be sent along with the answer books, to the Director (Admissions). Candidates must preserve the admit card till the admission process is over.

* Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University Admission Test (SAAT), a national level entrance test is conducted by Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University every year to select bright students from different parts of our country. The SAAT 2014 test is being conducted for different programs offered in different constituent institutes / schools of the university. SAAT-2014 the seventh edition of this entrance test, will be held on May 10th, 2014 (Saturday) at 65 centers across 46 cities of India.  




The test is primarily a multiple choice type written test and the standard of the test is comparable with any other national level entrance test. Short listed candidates will be called to attend an open counselling for admission into various programmes of the university. Another feature of this entrance test is that the candidates with diploma in engineering/ technology/ pharmacy and hotel management are eligible for admission into regular courses under lateral entry scheme through SAAT-2014.  



Examination Procedure:


SAAT 2014 there will be multiple choice questions. The number of questions will be sixty (60) per each hour of examination. Each question shall have four probable answers with only one is correct answer; and the examinee shall have to blacken only the correct circle with HB pencil or black / blue ballpoint pen. Each correct answer shall carry four marks whereas each incorrect answer will lead to deduction of one mark. Each unanswered question will carry zero mark. If more than one circle is darkened for one question, it will be treated as an incorrect answer and one mark will be deducted.


Wrong / Correct ways of Marking:


SAAT 2014 Each question is followed by answers, which have numbers A B C and D. Select the correct answer. Then by using HB pencil or black / blue ball pen darken the circle bearing the correct answer in the answer sheet against the corresponding number of the question.

IBPS PO III (Written+Interview) Results 2014


Institute of Banking Personal Selection IBPS conducted the IBPS PO III Written exam in November 2013 and Interview for the exam has been already completed in the First and Second week of January 2014.

How to Calculate Cut-off Score for IBPS PO III?

1. As weight-age of online exam is 80%, convert marks secured out of 200 to 80. If a candidate secured 61 out of 200, his weighted score out of 80 will be 61*80/200 = 24.4.

2. In IBPS PO II, candidate who scored exactly cutoff marks in general category need 18 marks to qualify. So add 18 out 20 in interview to written score.

3. Final cutoff = 24.4+18 = 42.4

Results for IBPS PO III (Written+Interview) will be Announced this week as we expect according to the process of IBPS.

After the announcement of Results the Allotment will start from the last week of March, 2014 as we seen in the official notification of IBPS.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has invited applications for the National Eligibility Test (NET) in Arts and Humanities to be held on June 29, 2014 for determining the eligibility for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and lectureship in universities and colleges. The test will be held for 95 subjects at 84 university coordinating centres across the country. Those who qualify in the JRF examination are eligible to pursue research leading to a Ph.D. 



The UGC NET 2014 June test will be conducted in 95 subjects. Those who have secured at least 55 per cent marks (50 per cent for those belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and Persons With Disabilities) in their Master’s degree and those who have appeared, or are appearing, for their final year examination can apply. The upper age limit is 28 as on June 1 for the JRF, raised by five years for those belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes and Persons With Disabilities. Three years’ relaxation will be permissible to those with an LL.M. degree. There is no upper age limit for applying for lectureship. 




* Candidate seeking admission to the Test (UGC-NET, June,2014) must apply online i.e. www.ugcnetonline.in OR through a link available on the UGC website www.ugc.ac.in.  Before applying Online, the candidates must possess the Scanned passport size photograph in JPEG format of less than 300 kb.





    
* After filling all the details for applying online for NET, the computer will automatically generate your ‘Bank Challan’ indicating your details therein A print out of this Bank Challan may be taken by the candidate for payment through cash, on the next working day (after generating the challan from www.ugcnetonline.in) at any branch of State Bank of India (SBI) alongwith bank charges (commission) of Rs.20/-



    

* Two days after the payment of fee at SBI through filled Bank Challan, the candidate is required to check the status of fee payment at UGC website www.ugcnetonline.in) and if the status is ‘OK’ the candidate will be able to take the printout of online Application Form (one copy), Attendance Slip (one copy) and Admission Card (one copy) on separate A-4 size papers.



    
* SC/ST/PWD candidates and candidates belonging to OBC (non-creamy layer) (as per the Central list of OBC available on website : www.ncbc.nic.in  must enclose the attested copy of certificate for the same.

Exam Pattern:
The UGC NET 2014  June test will consist of three papers of objective-type questions and will be held in two separate sessions. The first session covers paper I and II having 100 marks each and time allowed for each paper is 75 minutes. Paper III with 150 marks will have to be completed in 150 minutes.




Paper I shall be of general nature intended to assess the teaching and research aptitude of the candidate, primarily designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness. Sixty multiple choice questions of two marks each will be given, out of which 50 questions have to be answered. Paper II shall consist of 50 objective-type compulsory questions from the subject selected by the candidate, and each question will carry two marks. Paper III will consist of 75 questions each carrying two marks. 




The minimum marks to be obtained is given below: General category: paper I: 40 marks, II: 40, III: 75; Other Backward Classes: 35, 35, 68; and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and Persons With Disabilities: 35,35, 60.

The written examination will be of 200 marks consisting of following four parts:-

There will be only one question paper for two hours duration consisting of above four parts. The question in all the four parts will be “OBJECTIVE TYPE WITH MULTIPLE CHOICE”. Each part will be consisting of 50 questions carrying one mark each for right answer. Thus, in total there will be 200 questions. A candidate obtaining qualifying percentage out of total 200 marks shall be considered as qualified. The qualifying marks in written test (i.e. aggregate marks obtained in all four parts together) is 40% for General Category and 35% for SC/ST/OBC candidates i.e 80 Marks for General Candidates and 70 Marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates, out of 200.

BCECEB PGMAT ADMIT CARD 2014
Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board PGMAT 2014(BCECEB PGMAT 2014) Admit card bearing the name of the centre and Roll No. will be available on BCECE Board’s website  www.bcecebonline.com and www.bceceboard.com around February 20th, 2014.  BCECEB PGMAT 2014 Conducted on March 9th, 2014. Bihar PGMAT 2014 each candidate must check all the information’s and entries in his Admit Card as soon as he receives it. If he finds any error therein, he must personally contact the BCECE Board office, at least three days before the examination and get the error duly corrected.

* The Bihar PGMAT 2014 Admit card as downloaded through Board’s website www.bcecebonline.com and www.bceceboard.com will be valid for appearing in PGMAT-2014. In case the BCECE Bihar 2014 Admit Card is not obtained through the Board’s website, the candidate may personally contact the office of the Controller, BCECE Board.


Instructions:
* No intimation will be sent to the applicant whose candidature for the test has been rejected.


*  In every Examination Centre, there may be several sub-centres. This will be noted on the Admit card with date and time of the test.


* Each examine is required to reproduce, in his own handwriting, the complete text as printed on his OMR Answer Sheet and put his full signature in    English and Hindi at the specified spaces on it. In case he fails to do so, his candidature will be summarily rejected.


* In the event of loss or for any correction in Admit Card, duplicate / corrected Admit Card will be issued three days before the conducting of PGMAT-2014    at BCECE Board office, Patna.


* Any printing or typographical error during publication or preparation of results will not entitle the candidate for admission.


* There is no provision for re-evaluation of answer sheet or re-totalling of marks.
